I could have a pity party and bore you with all the details of my meltdown after getting my Christmas tree last night but I shall spare you. After all feeling sorry for yourself is a slippery slope, so I sucked it up and made do.
It’s certainly not perfect, the book under the stand that makes it look straight is an obvious clue of that, however I did it.
After 23 years I have the tree that I always wanted growing up, small white lights with big colored lights!
And yes it is in our bedroom. Since I’m a NYC freak I put it up while watching the tree lighting. Maybe since we will never be home for Thanksgiving this could be our day to put up the tree from now on. Someone remind me of that next year.
