Tonight is my office Christmas party I will be rocking the awesome bracelet that my sister Emma made.

It’s pretty fantastic just like her. Thanks Em!

This week in the mail I received my homemade Christmas gift from my partner. I’m pretty excited to add this to our collection of Christmas decorations…

The last thing I wanted to share was a homemade Christmas ornament that Caleb made and gave to me before he left…

He is getting pretty great at this crafty stuff. I can’t wait to show off the Christmas gifts he made for our brothers this year!

Today I signed up…

  1. for the Homemade Craft Exchange. More information can be found here. You should sign up too! I’m excited about getting to know my partner and adding another gift to my list.
  2. to make a birthday card for my sister’s friend who turns 11 on 11/11/11. How cool is that! Any ideas?
  3. to work overtime at work to make some extra money. I’m currently working at/ over 100% and agreed to take on an extra 8 evaluations. I guess I must be doing something right if my boss thinks I can take on more than what’s required. This might be the only time I ever say this but fingers crossed for kiddos with qualifying scores!

So the wedding is over.

And I am officially a married woman. Everything about the day was pretty much perfect.

I wanted to share a few pictures of all the homemade details, that I spent hours, days & months working on.

Aisle Runner

More Scrabble

It was a lot of stuff and a lot of work but it was totally worth it.

And the best part was…

All of the photos were taken by Julie Harmsen Photography. She is fantastic!

Happy New Year Everyone!

My project list is getting longer and longer by the day. This year I’m not really focusing on all the things I want to make. (Although there are a lot of those kinds of projects) I want this year to be more about doing and learning and stepping outside my comfort zone. Like moving 3000 miles away from home and starting a big girl job but also…

  • Take a pottery, glass blowing, yoga & knitting class.
  • Start my own art class.
  • Go camping A LOT. Actually just be outside a lot. And learn all about Seattle’s nature.
  • Take up swimming and biking.
  • Make vanilla extract, pomegranate liquor, fortune cookies (those were just added today).
  • Better my knitting. Or at least learn how to make hats and socks.
  • Cook more.
  • Make all my cleaning supplies.
  • I also still want to make birthday and Christmas presents. Maybe not all but for sure the majority.
  • I might even try making some earrings.
  • Make a home in Seattle.

Don’t you just love the start of a year? Full of endless possibilities.

P.S. Remember when I made that huge batch of laundry soap back in June? Well it just ran out! That’s right it lasted 7 months!

This is the last thing I’m gonna say about it, I wont even talk about how much better for you and the environment it is but come on, who doesn’t love saving money?! You can’t beat it.

Knitted dish cloths for aunts.

4 small winter themed cloths for Caleb’s aunt.

A penguin for mine.

And a butterfly for another.
