I told you about Craft Hope’s latest project… bean bags for Liberia. Remember?
I finished mine up this weekend and put them in the mail today. I decided to alphabet bean bags. The tutorials Craft Hope had posted were super cute but I wanted to come up my own and try something different.
I bought three different shades of blue felt and was going to attempt painting the letters on. Sounded easy enough- wrong. Painting felt freehand is not easy, it takes a lot of paint and a lot of time.
It took me awhile but I thought it turned out adorable. It also gave me time to think about the little kid that will learn their letters with my bean bags, which made it totally worthwhile.
I also whipped up a drawstring bag for them to go in and painted ABC on the outside.
I loved this project and Craft Hope, I’m extremely grateful that I can do something that I love and make a small difference in someone’s life.
