The Swell Season

Almost two years ago on September 28, 2008, we attended a concert that would change how I listened to music forever. I’m going to send you over to Caleb’s blog so you can read about how all this came into play. Click here! Something that Caleb doesn’t mention is that Glen remembered my name out of everyone’s and said “Bye Savannah. Nice to meet you.” My name had never sounded so beautiful to me!

The concert was hands down the most amazing concert I have ever been to. It wasn’t about being entertained, although I was entertained. For the first time I understood what it was like “to feel the music” and be apart of it. It was a pretty emotional show, because they are very emotional performers. I have always liked music and enjoyed listening to all different types but this show really opened me up and I finally really understood why people loved music so much.

All this to say, we will be seeing them again tonight at the Ryman! I’m sure I won’t be disappointment.

You can find more out about The Swell Season here.

5/19/2010- UPDATE: The concert was absolutely amazing. They are still so grateful and humbled to be where their at and you can honestly feel their love for the music. Here are a few pictures, you can see how close are seats were.
